Like most writers I’ve had a variety of jobs; librarian in Saudi Arabia; teacher in Spain; journalist in London and Sydney and event manager in more countries than I care to remember.
I’ve worked for several notable organisations, including Shakespeare in the Park, Australian House & Garden magazine and most recently the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
The most interesting town I’ve ever lived in was Broken Hill – a mining town on the edge of Outback New South Wales – and I’m still a proud member of the Country Women’s Association.
I’ve written three books so far. Dream Wheeler is the story of Englishwoman Jane Lambert’s adventurous retirement in France. Love in the Outback is my own story and Australian Farming Families is a collection of true stories about people who live on the land.

Hi Deb lovely to see your blog – I think you need to revise the temperature – from what I heard went up a few more notches this summer.

Hi Deb, I may have left the hill but am so pleased that Jen (Treloar) sent me your “Fifty Shades of Shiraz”, which I loved and will be forwarding to all my friends who appreciate a good Shiraz (something that is hard to come by over here). I have read your stories from this year, how do I see others you have written? I know you did the one on us pudding ladies so I am sure there are lots more. Love your work. Val Lord

Hello Isabelle, good to hear from you, AFF should be available as an e-book worldwide, it’s only available as a physical book in Australia and New Zealand at this stage, hope you manage to get hold of copy and good luck with those goats – I love reading your blog!

Hello Deb, I just found your answer in our blog’s dashboard ( I am a real newbie !!) . So, thank you for your answer and I think I will suggest my husband to order your book in Australia ( e-books and I are not really good friends : it will never replace the enjoyment to read an old book !!) I also love reading your blog: this is my little journey of the day :). Good luck with your book talk!
