When it’s a tea cosy!
This is for all the creative women I keep meeting in the CWA and all those friends who love colour and creativity.
I spotted this fantastic creation at a tea cosy exhibition held at the Balmain Watch House a few weeks ago. Sadly this colourful chook by Jenny Shimmin wasn’t for sale, but plenty others were and I was lucky enough to buy one.
I’ve been waiting for the right moment to share this pic, and after the wonderful high tea I enjoyed in Berry this week I reckon now’s the right time.
Tea anyone?
It’s a grand chook!

Oh Barbara I’d love to but I bought it as a gift so I’m loathe to spoil the surprise. I’ll try and describe my impression of it it to you though. Imagine a clown with long hair, who was snorkelling in a colourful part of the Great Barrier Reef when his hair got tangled into dreadlocks underwater and some of the fish and coral were trapped in it. Now take him out of the water, dry him off and turn him into a tea cosy. Does that help? 🙂
