The impatient gardener
Was it really only a year ago that we were unpacking boxes? It must have been. The delivery truck from Broken Hill arrived on just such a wet and windy day as this twelve short months ago and we spent last Christmas in Sydney unpacking, assembling Ikea furniture and fretting over where to put things (the answer in a lot of cases was the loft).
Did the garden really look like this?

Yes it did, and now it looks like this.
And this.
It’s only when I look back that I can see how far we’ve come.
This tiny back yard won’t win any prizes for neatness or design but at least it’s got things growing in it.
And that makes me feel at home.

We should all take before and after photos of our gardens. The same way we take photos of our children as they grow.

It is indeed an oasis lovely Deb and just says, “Sit and chat, dear friends!” And on that, all your friends hear say a very big namaste! Mal arrived a couple of days ago and I had my last day with the ladies today. The gardens here, mainly veggies, have been visual highlight! So lush, so fertile, so flourishing! And it’s back to the Hill soon where we have water restrictions apparently and a rapidly diminishing supply of water in Menindee Lakes! Hugs, as always, W
